Matched for Success is an employment program that is based on the Individual Placement and
Support (IPS) model of supported employment as defined by the IPS Employment Center. IPS is
an integrated care model that provides comprehensive employment services for people living
with a serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorder(s). The model also focuses on working
with therapists, case managers, doctors, families and any other formal & informal supports of the
client

WHO IS ELIGIBLE:

  • Individuals currently receiving mental health or co-occurring services from Ridgeview.
  • Individuals 18 years of age and older

HOW DOES IPS WORK:
The Individual Placement and Support is an evidenced-based approach that focuses on the client’s strengths. IPS enhances recovery and wellness by assisting the client reach his/her goal. The program partners with Tennessee Vocational Rehabilitation and is in it for the long haul, working with a client for at least one year
if services/ supports are desired. IPS focuses only on competitive employment and works with Benefits Specialists to understand how SSI or SSDI benefits may be affected.

❖ Where do you want to work? It is important to know that you have a choice of indicating your preference of where you want to work and where you don’t.
❖ Why do you want to work? It is important to clarify the purpose behind your work.
❖ What is your dream job? Identify the doors you want opened and clarify your ultimate goal.
❖ What skills do you have? List your skills and the things you like to do & what you want to learn to do.
