Improving Child Behavior

Sometimes parents have difficulties controlling their child’s behavior, or forming effective parent and child relationships. Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is a short-term, personal approach to building stronger family bonds, enhancing parenting skills, and improving child conduct. Parenting can be challenging, but it does not have to be stressful. PCIT aims to help parents find joy with their children.

Who is PCIT for?

PCIT is designed for parents or caregivers with a child aged 2-7 years and is exhibiting challenging behaviors. PCIT is to help children who:

Refuse or deny adult requests
Annoy others on purpose
Disrupt daycare or school settings
Destroy or damage items
Start fights or injure others
